The Nisei Week Festival is celebrating its 83rd anniversary this year.
In commemoration of this milestone, we are proud to once again present the "LA Nebuta,"
which deeply moved the Japanese American community in 2007, at the Nisei Week Grand Parade on Sunday, August 10.
The Aomori Nebuta was designated an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan in 1980,
and it is now recognized as one of the three major festivals of the Tohoku region, held annually in August.
In order to make this year’s Nisei Week a truly moving and memorable event,
we are committed—together with local residents, business owners, and community leaders—to making this a celebration
that revitalizes both the local and Japanese American communities.
On the occasion of the 83rd anniversary of Nisei Week, we sincerely ask for your generous support and sponsorship.
